Brett Edge is W.I.S. Logistics’ McLeod Accounting Lead, the go-to person when anything related to accounting comes up. He splits his time between accounts receivable and accounts payable, handling general ledger maintenance, filing, and a number of other tasks. We recently sat down with Brett to learn more about him and his role at W.I.S. Logistics.
Tell us about an experience that made you feel like you belonged at W.I.S. Logistics.
I have felt like a part of the team since day one. I was in more of an administrative assistant role when I started, helping everywhere I could. Everyone was welcoming and helped me learn all aspects of the business.
What’s the most interesting project or idea you are working on right now?
One of the more interesting projects I am currently involved in is a system upgrade that is going live in April. I am hoping that it helps the team become more efficient, and makes some things look and feel better in-house.
Why do you like working at W.I.S. Logistics?
My coworkers! The people at W.I.S. Logistics are hands down the best group of people that I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Most of my spare time is spent working on our relatively new home. It seems like there is always something to do!
Do you have any secret talents?
My dog seems to think I’m pretty great at walks.
