During National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, September 10 – 16, we come together to express our gratitude to those who tirelessly keep our country connected and economy thriving. This year’s theme, ‘Miles of Gratitude,’ is a reminder of the enormous contribution that truck drivers make every single day.
Approximately 3.6 million truck drivers are responsible for safely and efficiently moving 10.5 billion tons of freight – equipment, food, medicine, and more – each year. According to the American Trucking Associations, 80% of U.S. communities rely exclusively on trucks for their freight transportation needs.
Amid ongoing challenges faced by the transportation industry, including poor weather, fluctuating fuel costs, and the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, truck drivers have remained steadfast in their commitment to keep everything moving.
We’re especially thankful for members of our Core Carrier Program, who work with W.I.S. Logistics to provide quick and dependable transportation. Their long-term partnerships, and like-minded commitment to exceptional customer service are deeply appreciated.
