Julie Pulvermacher brings nearly a decade of experience in transportation compliance and leadership to the W.I.S. Logistics team. Before joining our team, she spent nine years at Fleetworthy, where she held several leadership and client-facing roles focused on DOT compliance, team management, and strategic partnerships.
After years in the compliance and safety side of transportation, Julie was ready for a new challenge. “The logistics side felt like an exciting new adventure and a great opportunity to continue helping businesses succeed in a different way,” she shared. “That’s what led me to W.I.S. Logistics, and I’m thrilled to be part of the team.” We sat down with Julie recently and asked her a few questions about her new role.
Tell us about your role as Business Development Manager at W.I.S. Logistics.
My role is focused on creating opportunities that drive growth for both our clients and our company. That means building relationships, understanding the unique challenges businesses face in their logistics operations, and finding solutions that truly fit their needs, not just offering a one-size-fits-all approach. I spend a lot of time listening, asking the right questions, and collaborating with our operations team to make sure what we deliver adds real value. Ultimately, my goal is to help clients streamline their supply chain and improve efficiency while building long-term partnerships.
What made you feel like W.I.S. Logistics was the right fit for you?
Building strong relationships—both internally with my team and externally with customers—has always been a priority for me. When I learned more about W.I.S. Logistics, I saw that those same values are at the core of the company. The emphasis on collaboration, trust, and truly understanding customer needs made it feel like the perfect fit. From day one, I’ve felt that alignment, and it confirmed that this is where I belong.
What is the most interesting project you are working on right now?
Right now, my most interesting project is working hard to build trust and rapport with new prospects—because relationships are everything in logistics. So, if you know anyone who could use a partner that listens and solves problems, send them my way! I promise I’ll make you look good!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Outside of work, one of my biggest passions is supporting my 13-year-old daughter and her love for horses. We spend a lot of time at lessons and events, and I truly enjoy being part of her journey. When I get a moment to myself, I love having my house clean, lighting some nice-smelling candles, and relaxing while watching one of my favorite shows.
